WELCOME TO STUDIO A
Art has long had a reputation for belonging only to the "naturally talented. "How often have you heard someone say, “I can’t even draw a stick figure” while staring at a piece of art? Ironically, my stick figures are heinous—and I’m still here making art. Art shouldn’t be boxed in by assumptions or judged solely by stylistic trends. Yes, understanding composition, contrast, color, and different mediums takes practice—but those are all learned skills. Honestly, many are the same ones you use when framing a photo on your phone!
Art should make you feel something. It should guide your eye, spark inspiration, and add that extra splash of soul to a space. After a lifetime of drawing, painting, and taking every art class I could in middle school, high school, and even college, I’m finally putting a price tag on some of my work. Selling it is new to me—but collecting art is not. I still remember the first painting I bought: it was by Cortland Butterfield, and I felt like I had made it.
No, I’m not a household name (yet!), but I believe art should be accessible to everyone. That’s why I’m pricing it that way—because everyone deserves to own something that speaks to them. In January 2025, after a wave of executive orders, I was laid off from my dream job. I was crushed—and a little lost. So I turned to my travel photos and started painting. Now it’s April, and I’ve never been more grateful that I picked up my pencil and brushes again.
Thanks for being here. Come along on this creative journey with me—and don’t be a stranger!
